Ad Astra Computing · Research

We build systems
that respect your time.

This is the research arm of Ad Astra Computing. We ship work as named, versioned projects under *.adastra.computer, each with its own numbers and its own honest caveats. Negative results and regressions are published alongside the wins; a framework that only surfaced the wins would not be worth using.

An ideas factory with focused domains

We run a lot of experiments. Most of them live here, on this page, while the thesis is still being tested. When a piece of work reaches the shape of a product, with a methodology that holds up under repeated runs and an audience beyond the lab, it graduates to its own subdomain and carries its own name. AHD is the first graduate; everything else is still on the bench until the numbers say otherwise.

The split matters for a reader: a dedicated subdomain means the work is sturdy enough to cite, deploy against, or adopt. A surface that only lives on this page is still an experiment. Both states are published, but they are published under different promises.

Surfaces

  1. AHD · Artificial Human Design

    shipped

A guardrail and evaluation layer for AI-generated design. Named taxonomy, reproducible scoring.

AHD measures and reduces specific, repeated AI design failures in AI-generated web output. The taxonomy is named, versioned, and linted; the eval harness publishes attempted counts, canonical model IDs, and negative results every run. An image-generation track is in progress and will publish under the same standards once its results are strong enough to ship. The canonical taxonomy and rule counts live on the AHD site so this page never drifts out of sync.

What we publish

Every research surface ships under three constraints. Reproducible: code and method are public, so results can be re-run on a fresh machine. Honest: attempted versus scored counts travel with every result, and negative findings are first-class. Specific: each surface names a narrow problem and measures one change at a time.

This matches how Ad Astra Computing builds products: long-horizon, opinionated, deliberately narrow in scope so the result holds up under real use. Research here is the feeder stream for that product work.

Contact

For research collaboration, methodology questions, or findings you want to share, the contact address is on the parent site.

This page is linted on every deploy by AHD against the post-digital-green style token. The badge at the bottom is live provenance, not decoration: it reads the lint report published at /ahd.json on each build.
